Crowsnest Pass - Hillcrest, Alberta
     
A small group of houses sit beside the Crowsnest River at the West Entrance to Hillcrest off Hwy 3 Hwy 3 runs through the Frank Slide with the entrances to Bellevue (Lower Right) and Hillcrest (Middle Left) Looking east from Hwy 3 you can see how close the Fire of 2003 was to the town of Hillcrest From the bridge (west entrance) you can see Crowsnest Mtn. & the Frank Slide Interpretive Centre (Upper Right)
Looking north from the bridge Belleuve is over the middle ridge at the base of the foothills A paved bicycle path parallels the west entrance road (path runs to Bellevue) Many original homes dot the landscape throughout The Pass A mobile home community on the south side of Hillcrest, Bellevue is visible to the north
This gravel road at the south end of towns winds its way behind Turtle Mtn. Trees and foothills surround Hillcrest in this view looking east Hillcrest is set back from the Crowsnest River at the eastern base of Turtle Mtn.
